Why do I get into so much trouble on trips...? Blame the booze!

This week has been pretty chill. Lots of work outs & errands that never ever seem to be finished! I hate running errands more than ANYTHING. I never seem to be able to remember to run ALL the errands on one side of town before jetting off to the other....& therefore, I have to run back to the other side...& yes you guessed it, I repeat this pattern 2 or 3 times before giving up. I need a personal assistant. Any takers?

Poppyseed comes home in 10 days with lots & lots of presents! : ) I'm stokedddd! I'm ready to hand the business back to Daddy. I hate having to run it while he's gone. Too many responsibilities; gives me such a headache.

I have a 4-day mini road trip of cliff jumping & lake time in Waco with J&L in 14 days. 23 days til ATX with all of my favesss! & finally 27 days til I get to go hommmeeeee to California! Weeeeeeee!!!! I always seem to pack pack & pack ALL vacation time at the end of Summer, which leaves me all antsy & anxious.

I am beyond excited to get to go home to California for a week. The world doesn't even begin to understand how MUCH I've missed this place. Not only do I get to go with sister, but no parentals. A full 8 days of shopping, beach time, shopping, partying, & hanging with the bestest coolest cousins EVER! : D Yes Jud, I am sucking up here...start stocking the bar!

Odd as it many sound, I'm ready to get Fall09 started! Not only do I miss the hustle & bustle of busy school life & actually having something that needs to be done everyday....But I just REALLY want the school year on its way so I can go to Italy for Thanksgiving, followed by Christmas/New Years in Tokyo/Vietnam! Traveling is my obsession! It's the most amazing feeling you can get without getting illegal :P

Lots & lots coming up & I'm ready to take it all on! Be on the lookout for pictures to round up the last of Summer 09!

Summer Love...or was I that drunk?!

Get ready for one bigggg update : )

Since the last post, half of summer has passed. Summer session I was completed. & trips have been planned. Here goes my attempt to catch you up with minimal words & just let the pictures speak for themselves:

Memorial Day was wonderful. I spent the entire day with family. Lots of shopping, eating, and chasing my crazy niece all over the place.

Memorial Night was spent with the bestfriends. We went to our usual Blackfinn Monday Night :) As usual there was lots of drinking, dancing, and thankfully no drama! Which, in my books, always makes for a wonderful night!

I finallly gave in & went back to Fry St for a night of drinking and reuniting with my girls. It was interesting. Nothing at all compare to 6th St. I think after 6th...it'll never be the same. But it was still a fun night of laughing and catching up.

I have the weirdest weirdEST fascination with Drag Queens. It's quirky I know. But anywho, my wonderful friends & I went to visit my favorite bartender, and best friend in the WORLD, at his job, where low & behold, there were drags EVERYWHERE! I guess it was a Pick On The Asians Night cause Yee & I were called out and ONTO the stage...but unlike Yee, I didn't make any money dancing. haha. I think all drags fell in love with him that night. ; )

Summer Session 1 started & let me tell you how much it SUCKED! My professor was wonderful & charming, but having to be in class for 6 hours was not in the least bit fun! But be proud!! I walked away with an A! : )

June 13th was the day I had been looking forward to for at least 3 months! Count downs and all! It was QUEST CREW weekend!! I seriously could NOT get enough of the boys. Sexy beyond words. But I was a bit disappointed because Steve Terada wasn't in attendance due to the flu : ( The ONE guy I wanted to meet! I was sad...really sad. But it's OK. 1.5 years til I move to LA...maybe we'll meet then! :P

Our 3rd Birthday Celebration this summer was our friend Erica's. Ft. Worth was the destination for the night. We hadn't been out to Ft. Worth since our first experience there. It was fun. I love walking around downtown. Lights, music, & wonderful friends.

Sorry it took sooooo long for me to update. Things have been hectic but mostly, I've just been lazy. It was a goal of mine to blog at least once a week & I've failed. Miserably. Let's see if I can pick this thing back up. Tonight is another outing, I'm excited. It feels like I haven't let loose & gone crazy crazy in a long while. I think I'm starting to fear the aftermath...Haha. We have another trip to Austin coming. Which I am BEYOND stoked for. Reunion with 6th St. Sweeeeetttt. AND to end the Summer, I get to go home to Cali for 8 days. Hopefully, this is when we sign for the house?? Maybe? Let's keep our fingers, toes, and anything else possible crossed. Be on the lookout for more pictures & bloggings : )

PeaceLove&Everything In Between!

Yippee for the actual time to publish a new blog! : ) Much has happened since the last actual blogging (4.16). Dead week & Hell week came & went, I dominated, by the way! Finals are OVERRR! Yes I did do my happy dance as I walked out of my last final & packed the car to head out of town.

We celebrated the end of finals with a much needed trip to ATX! One word to describe this trip: Holycrapgoodnessgracious! It was a 3Day2Night event of pure craziness. We met up with an old HS friend the first night & pretty much just got obliterated. We explored, shopped, and dined the 2nd day. & had a repeat of just as much, if not more alcohol intake the 2nd night! My roomie was awesome. His silliness and charming personality made the trip that much more fun. & for the record, if you ever talk to him, I did NOT throw a lamp at him! ; )

The trip ended Sunday afternoon, but not to worry, the drinking continued that following Monday night. Our first BlackFinns Monday Night of the Summer. For those of you who don't know, last summer our Monday Nights were OFFICIAL; BlackFinns $2Calls, this was our thing. The one outing we could always count on to be successful. So along with our first Monday Night outing, we were also celebrating our amazing friend Yee's 24th Birthday. I'd say it was a successful night, the Birthday Boy carried on a good "buzz" throughout the night ; ) Hope you had wonderful birthday Jake Long! :P

Wednesday morning was the dreaded morning of surgery. It was one of the most bizarre experiences ever. I was beyond nervous, so they upped my sedative dosages. This not only made me especially giggly, but rather flirty....the boys of the office found this rather amusing & flattering, as I made cuteeee friend ; ) The post op the next day was interesting, as they recalled my every move the previous morning...booo, what's with embarrassing your patients!?

5.22.2004. 5 years ago we lost 2 amazing boys in one of the most tragic accidents Denton has ever had to face. I can't believe it's 5 years today, time has flown yet painfully stood still at the same time. You boys are thought of everyday, missed every hours, and loved every second. The world just isn't the same without your smiling faces. You may be gone, but you are never forgotten. Rest in peace Jake Holley & Adam King.

After the last week & such I've gotten to spend the quality time I've been needing with the people who get me & I've never been more grateful. As corny as this sounds, I really am blessed with the most amazing group of friends and family. People who seriously get me; me as a whole person. People who love me despite my mistakes, insecurities, and faults. I realized a couple things this week. I love how everything is. Just plain is. I'm not sure what that means at this point, I just know that for the first time in what seems like an eternity I'm breathing. Don't really know if this makes any sense to any of yall out there, but if you do get it, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. You more than likely played a part in helping me achieve this present state of being.

Mini-Blog...ish?

Hi World. I love you. Don't hate me... I've been MIA! Actually more like just ridic mad busy! Still am actually. Just wanted to say the surgery went well & I've recovered almost 100%. :) One more surgery on 5.25. Pray for me! But I promise there will be a new blog as soon as Hell Week (aka Finals Week) is over. It'll be a good one. I promiseeee. Until then, hugs and kisses a million & one!

Smile that secret smile...

As wedding season approaches & all these weddings/engagements takes place among my classmates...I can't help but feel like I am way off track. Everyone around me is settling down, starting a family, and moving away with their partners. & what exactly am I doing? I'm wondering if I'll be partying this weekend as hard as I did the previous. I'm wondering if I'll ace this exam I've been studying my ass off for. I'm wondering if I'll get to travel the world as planned this summer before starting yet another tedious semester of school. As the world around me settles down and starts to graduate, I'm still prepping myself for another decade (it seems) of school. The MCAT is getting closer. & yes, I am freaking the efffff out. I am not prepared. I know I've still got some time to study, I'll get to take them over if I don't do well the first, but ahhhh! there's so much pressure from everyone! Why am I so freaking behind!? Well I already know why...but gahhh! I have yet to even choose where I want to go to Medical school. Paris would be a dream come true. To attend UMPC, be closer to family & to explore a brand new continent would be an incredible opportunity. But California is home; always have been & always will be.

Sorry this blog is such a downer. I can't exactly vent to the people around me, because they have enough going on in their lives, no need to dump my crap on them.

I just need to somehow fast forward the next 6 years of my life. To be graduating from Med school & have settled in a place where my heart will be at it's absolute happiest...I begging the next 6 years to hurry up! >.<

But until that miraculously happens, I will continue to live my life. I will continue to make the most out of every blessed moment that is handed to me. As the quotes goes... I would rather live my life to the fullest than constantly conduct myself in a certain way to gain approval from others. I have regrets, but no apologies.

Bonne nuit mes amis ♥

Shoots & Boots!

YUANLIN, Taiwan - Hello Kitty has a new job: waving to visitors who enter the lobby of Hau Sheng Hospital.
The reason?
“When new moms feel anxious and lost about how to deal with their new babies, Hello Kitty can make them more relaxed and reduce their sense of discomfort while giving birth,” said owner Tsai Tsung-ji.
Hello Kitty blankets, paintings, lobbies, cribs, elevators, and recovery rooms all are part of the effort to keep mother comfortable. Better yet (or maybe not) are the pastel pink nurse outfits tastefully matched with raspberry-lined aprons and caps.
The Hello Kitty themed hospital has recieved some criticism. Angela Lee, a proffesor at Northwestern Univesity, argues that the hospital “is like a theme park”.
Well, hats off to you, Hello Kitty. (Or is it Dr. Kitty now?)

Welcome back H.Kittyyyyy :) It is given that since I am Asian...I am OBSESSED with Hello Kitty so I only saw it fit to start out this blog with the cuteness that is Dr. Hello Kitty!

I had my shoot with Samantha Collie this weekend! It was such a blast! :) She's such an amazing person and photographer! At first I was really nervous about being in front of the camera and all that, but she was just so friendly and easy going that after a while the nervousness eased off a bit. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone whose looking for a photographer who is AMAZING and so incredibly passionate and detailed about her work. She's so much fun, and she so inviting when it comes to ideas and such! All in all, a m a z i n g! Can't wait for the next round!

Fave Picture So Far! I'll post the rest as she edits them! :)

Lambda Chi's Dukes of Hazzard was also this weekend! It was a blast, as are all of their parties! Decorations were kick ass; complete with haystacks, tire swings, mechanical bull, and live chickens! Awesome jobs dudes :)

V-Day or D-Day? It's Pretty Much The Same.

In spirit of the nationally mushy gushy, awfully dreaded by society shunned singles, holiday, I shall blog, on Friday The 13th, about the too pink St. Valentine's Day.

Pink is everywhere. Cupid & his arrows, delicate lace hearts, pink foiled chocolates, and I Love You cards have staked their claim in stores & shops all over town since mid January. I recently received a flyer, pink of course, with the rather intriguing story of how St. Valentine's Day came about:

Valentine's Day has vastly evolved over the years. From once being a morbid celebration, to feast honoring a deceased Saint's relics, it now represents a day of picture perfect love.

Historically February marked the beginning of spring and was a time for purification. This called for celebrations and festivals. During the festivities all the young women in the city would place their names in a big urn. The city's bachelors would then each choose a name out of the urn and become paired for the year with his chosen women. These matches often ended in marriage. While this traditions died off, the romantic feel of the day never vanished.

I've never really been a fan of Valentine's Day. Even in all the years before this. K & I have always celebrated because well....it WAS Valentine's Day. But he & I shared the same thought when it came to overly dramatic displays of affection. I think that's what made me love him even more. & as I've mentioned before, too much of the color pink makes me want to punch things.

So what are my plans for this day you may wonder? I am doing the V-Day usual. Dinner and a movie with TWO Valentines. :) Two of my wonderful best friends & I are having dinner at a quaint little Italian restaurant in Highland Village, then more than likely getting a little bit inebriated then it's on to watch our life stories fold out before us in the epic movie.... Confessions of a Shopaholic.

& as for my plans for Friday The 13th? There are none. I've barricaded my doors & windows. (well...pretty much) I've stocked my house filled with enough junk food to last about 70 sleep-overs, enough movies to run out the bulb in my movie projector, and my Mum has wonderfully washed my softest PJs & my favorite socks (the one with about 20 bells on it)! People think I'm silly to be so superstitious, but Friday the 13th + Nic = no good! Nothing good can come of today! The many horrible previous Friday the 13ths are proof!

Have a wonderful & cautious day all! Until next time.....

The Big 21(+1) Birthday Blowout

After a full 3 days, the birthday celebrations have officially ended. It has been the craziest weekend of 2009, so far that is. We have a whole line up of Birthday Celebrations ahead of us in the next few months. Much of the last 3 days is a blur. If not for pictures, I would not remember more than half of the people that came out & celebrated with me.

Thursday was spent in town Rbar. I got to celebrate with all my wonderful under 21 friends (the young'ns) & those who wouldn't be able to make it out to rounds II or III. I honestly do not remember past the 5th shot at Rbar. But the pictures tell me that I had a blast!

Friday was by far the most kick ass night! I got to celebrate with some crazy crazy people at one of my favorite clubs, Kinki's! It was a mix of best friends, hot boys, and of course, one of my favorite Asian boy :P We finished off 2 bottles of Grey Goose in about 2 hours. Once again, I don't remember past my 2nd drink. (the drink was 3/4 Grey and MAYBE a splash of Sprite!) The pictures are out of this world hilarious. There was dancing, drinking, lap dances being given. Hott. Now the ride home....yeah not so hott.

Saturday was the kegger that was thrown for me and Twin. After 2 incredibly brutal mornings, I had a feeling that I should probably take it easy that night. This was confirm after the first sip of alcohol I had. So then on out, I watched my little sister get pretty swasty faced. Hilarious, as always. It was a pretty chill night, which was the perfect ending to the drunkest weekend of my life.

All in all my 21 (+1) was a complete success. Parties, Pictures, Booze, Besties & Boys make for one fabulous birthday! So thank you to everyone who took part in celebrating with me. Your being there meant the world!
