We celebrated the end of finals with a much needed trip to ATX! One word to describe this trip: Holycrapgoodnessgracious! It was a 3Day2Night event of pure craziness. We met up with an old HS friend the first night & pretty much just got obliterated. We explored, shopped, and dined the 2nd day. & had a repeat of just as much, if not more alcohol intake the 2nd night! My roomie was awesome. His silliness and charming personality made the trip that much more fun. & for the record, if you ever talk to him, I did NOT throw a lamp at him! ; )

The trip ended Sunday afternoon, but not to worry, the drinking continued that following Monday night. Our first BlackFinns Monday Night of the Summer. For those of you who don't know, last summer our Monday Nights were OFFICIAL; BlackFinns $2Calls, this was our thing. The one outing we could always count on to be successful. So along with our first Monday Night outing, we were also celebrating our amazing friend Yee's 24th Birthday. I'd say it was a successful night, the Birthday Boy carried on a good "buzz" throughout the night ; ) Hope you had wonderful birthday Jake Long! :P

Wednesday morning was the dreaded morning of surgery. It was one of the most bizarre experiences ever. I was beyond nervous, so they upped my sedative dosages. This not only made me especially giggly, but rather flirty....the boys of the office found this rather amusing & flattering, as I made cuteeee friend ; ) The post op the next day was interesting, as they recalled my every move the previous morning...booo, what's with embarrassing your patients!?
5.22.2004. 5 years ago we lost 2 amazing boys in one of the most tragic accidents Denton has ever had to face. I can't believe it's 5 years today, time has flown yet painfully stood still at the same time. You boys are thought of everyday, missed every hours, and loved every second. The world just isn't the same without your smiling faces. You may be gone, but you are never forgotten. Rest in peace Jake Holley & Adam King.
After the last week & such I've gotten to spend the quality time I've been needing with the people who get me & I've never been more grateful. As corny as this sounds, I really am blessed with the most amazing group of friends and family. People who seriously get me; me as a whole person. People who love me despite my mistakes, insecurities, and faults. I realized a couple things this week. I love how everything is. Just plain is. I'm not sure what that means at this point, I just know that for the first time in what seems like an eternity I'm breathing. Don't really know if this makes any sense to any of yall out there, but if you do get it, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. You more than likely played a part in helping me achieve this present state of being.
